Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 23, 2026 · Last updated: June 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how We Litt (“We Litt,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, progressive web app, and mobile apps (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
- Account information you provide: email address, phone number, display name, social handle, and home city.
- Location data: with your permission, your device’s approximate or precise location, or a ZIP/city you enter, used to show nearby events. You can deny or revoke this at any time in your device settings.
- Activity: events you save, RSVP to, review, or buy tickets for.
- Payment information: processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited details such as a confirmation and the last four digits.
- Safety features: emergency contacts and trip details you choose to enter are stored to power the Safety Center. We do not monitor your location continuously unless you start a trip.
- Device & usage data: basic technical data (device type, browser, app version) and, if enabled, error and analytics data to keep the Service reliable.
2. How we use information
- To provide and personalize event discovery, ticketing, and safety features.
- To authenticate you (e.g., magic-link sign-in) and secure your account.
- To process ticket purchases and subscriptions.
- To send service messages, reminders, and (with consent) notifications.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and safety issues.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf — e.g., Supabase (database/auth/hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (optional safety SMS), and event data sources such as Ticketmaster and municipal open-data feeds.
- Other users, only as you intend — e.g., a review you post is public; RSVP counts are shown as numbers, not names.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service.
4. Cookies & local storage
We use your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences (such as theme and saved events). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time (Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete account), which permanently erases your account and associated data, subject to limited legal/accounting retention.
6. Your rights & choices
- Access & export: download a copy of your data in-app (Profile → Privacy & Data → Download my data).
- Deletion: delete your account in-app, or contact us.
- Location: control or revoke location access in your device/browser settings.
- GDPR (EEA/UK): you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing.
- CCPA/CPRA (California): you may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing” (we do not sell or share for cross-context advertising).
To exercise any right, contact us at the address below.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and server-side handling of secrets. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Children
We Litt is intended for adults. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. By using the Service you consent to such transfers, handled with appropriate safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notified in-app.
